Services
The Łegóhlı̨ Early Learning Daycare Centre offers a variety of programs designed to support the growth and development of young children. Our services include:
Infant Care (12+ months to 24 months): 8 spots
A nurturing environment for infants where they can explore, learn, and develop social skills. Examples include: early literacy through stories and music, reading, sensory stimulation, and more. Five of the spaces will be prioritized for Indigenous children and will only be opened to non-Indigenous children if unfilled.
Preschool Programs (2 to 4 years): 16 spots
Engaging and educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning. Examples include: physical activities, outdoor and land-based educations, creative arts, literacy, and more. Ten of the spaces will be prioritized for Indigenous children and will only be opened to non-Indigenous children if unfilled.
Culturally Relevant Programming:
Incorporating Indigenous traditions and teachings to enhance the learning experience. Such as outdoor and land-based learning, story time with Elders, and more. An Indigenous early childhood educator has developed a daycare curriculum with resources to guide both the infant and preschool programs.
Special Events and Workshops:
Regularly scheduled activities for families, including storytelling sessions, arts and crafts, and seasonal celebrations.
