Sahtu Sprouts provides valuable mentorship focusing on integrating culturally enriched learning into the daily experiences of toddlers enrolled in our daycare.  Indigenous support staff will incorporate cultural teachings and practices, enhancing the learning experience and helping children connect deeply with their heritage through land-based learning and play.

Sahtu Sprouts aims to provide accessible and culturally relevant learning experiences for young children.

Programs offered

Part-time Early Learning and
Child Care:

  • Preschool activities for children
    aged
    3-6 years.

  • Offered through both a fall and
    spring semester.

  • Interactive workshops for parents
    and caregivers.

Cultural Activities:

  • Indigenous storytelling sessions.

  • Traditional harvesting, crafts and
    art projects.

Nutrition Programs:

  • Healthy meal planning and
    cooking classes.

  • Traditional food preparation
    workshops.
